The year the Columbian Exposition at the World’s Fair in Chicago opened was 1893.

H.H. Holmes is straight bananas, you have to read about this dude. Just fascinating shit.

I think there’s a documentary on him that’s on instant watch on Netflix. :< He’s pretty interesting.
